TM02® has been investigated in human studies covering respiratory health, immune-related outcomes, post-viral respiratory symptoms, physical performance, quality of life and topical skin applications.

CHILDREN’S IMMUNE HEALTH
Study design: Randomised, double-blind, placebo-controlled
Participants / duration: 101 children · 90 days
Reported findings:
- Immune Status Questionnaire scores improved by 57.3%.
- Reductions in inflammatory markers IL-6, TNF-α and IL-2 were reported.
RESPIRATORY · ASTHMA
Study design: Phase II clinical study
Participants / duration: 17 adults with uncontrolled asthma · 90 days
Reported findings:
- Average FEV₁ increased by 0.3 L.
- ACQ-7 scores decreased by 0.8 points.
- FeNO, a marker of airway inflammation, decreased by 43%.
POST-VIRAL RESPIRATORY RECOVERY
Study design: Randomised, double-blind, placebo-controlled
Participants / duration: 34 adults with persistent post-viral respiratory symptoms · 6 weeks
Reported findings:
- Leicester Cough Questionnaire scores increased from 13.6 to 17.9.
- Cough-related quality of life improved more than with placebo.
ALLERGIC RHINITIS
Study design: Randomised, double-blind, placebo-controlled
Participants / duration: 108 participants with allergic rhinitis · 30 days
Reported findings:
- Significant improvements in nasal symptoms were reported.
- IL-5, a marker associated with allergic inflammation, decreased.
RECOVERY · VITALITY
Study design: Randomised, double-blind, placebo-controlled
Participants / duration: 52 patients with localised breast cancer undergoing chemotherapy · 6 months
Reported findings:
- Promising trends towards improved physical, emotional and social functioning.
- A trend towards reduced fatigue compared with placebo
STRENGTH · PHYSICAL PERFORMANCE
Study design: Randomised, double-blind, placebo-controlled
Participants / duration: 40 young men · 8 weeks
Reported findings:
- Improvements in muscular strength and power were reported.
- TM02® combined with training showed the greatest gains in the shoulder-extension measurements presented.
SKIN WELLNESS · ECZEMA
Study design: Open-label, split-site pilot study
Participants / duration: 20 participants with atopic dermatitis · 6 weeks
Reported findings:
- Reduced itching and improved eczema severity.
- Improved quality of life with topical TM02-Ex.
